Pyrography

The gentle art of pyrography—burning designs into wood—provided some light relief from bashing metal about during the silversmithing years.

Being an art student at the tail end of the Sixties engendered an inevitably whimsical illustration style. This lent itself to a range of kids’ clocks and smaller items which I sold mostly at craft fairs, personalising items on location.

Still have my equipment and some leftover materials and occasionally harbour the idea of doing some more for fun.
